The ASPCA, Animal Care Centers of New York and Bumble Host #FindYourFido and Friends Adoption Event on Sunday in Central Park

The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) is partnering with Animal Care Centers of NYC (ACC), the New York City Police Department (NYPD) and the social networking app Bumble to celebrate Adopt a Shelter Dog Month by hosting a #FindYourFido and Friends Adoption Event. Plenty of dogs, cats, and rabbits will be available for adoption. Along with adoptable animals, there will be a fun, interactive photobooth where visitors can share their support of adoption and the ASPCA’s Adopt a Shelter Dog Month national campaign #FindYourFido. While supplies last, Bumble will be supplying giveaways for pups and humans!

“We’re thrilled to be working with our partners ACC, NYPD and Bumble to put on the second #FindYourFido and Friends event,” said Eileen Hanavan, Director of Volunteer and Foster Engagement at the ASPCA Adoption Center. “It’s so important to get animals out into the community to increase their chances of adoption, and we look forward to making many wonderful matches this weekend!”

“We want to make it easier for shelter dogs to get adopted across the country and we’re excited to support the ASPCA in New York City through this adoption event,” said Naseem Scaglione, senior brand manager at Bumble. “Bumble is a mission-driven company and we’ve been excited to see the positive effect that social media has on shelter adoptions. Many Bumble users bond over their shared love of dogs, and it’s obvious that putting a dog in your Bumble profile is a great conversation starter, too.”

The ASPCA’s #FindYourFido campaign runs the entire month of October to support more than 500 shelters and rescues nationwide with the goal of increasing visibility of shelter dogs and placing them in loving homes. The ASPCA is also proud to have the support of the social networking app Bumble for #FindYourFido 2018.
